Rescue Cars accounts (yawn - boring!)
I thought it was about time I gave out some figures so our lovely donors can see where the money has gone.
Total donated to Paypal pool is £1350 and the current balance is just £4.
so - withdrawn from Paypal pool £1346
donated by hubby Al for R1 trailer hire & fuel 172
donated by dcwalker on puchase of R2 100
donated by oddballer for purchase of R4 250
temporary donation by jifflemon for new parts not yet re-imbursed 130
£1998 total
(items 2,3,4 & 5 didn't go through the Paypal pool)
(other donations gratefully received were various care packages of spare parts)
spent as follows:-
R1
purchase 500.00
trailer 72.00
fuel 100.00
seats 150.00
sundries 209.81 total 1031.81
R3
purchase 200.00
transport 108.00
insurance 25.00
sundries 165.75 total 498.75
B1 (breaker)
purchase 0.00
transport 105.00
parts sold -150.00 total -45
R4
purchase 250.00
transport 58.00
sundries 204.20 total 512.20
Total expenditure £ 1998
note - sundries refers to new parts Jeff has bought. No, he won't tell me what he's spent on bits from breakers. Yes, he is so eager to do a turbo, he's already bought parts for R4 - no prizes for guessing what's in his capacious kitchen drawers !

Re: Rescue Cars accounts (yawn - boring!)
Thanks Sylvia
Given that the whole idea of rescuing cars seems to be well received and supported I think an update for everybody who is not so closely involved as some of us are is well worthwhile.
I have to say that 4 cars at various stages of rescue, and subject to a very thorough initial restoration process, for just shy of £2,000 is a great achievement
Full credit in particular to Jeff for his efforts!!

This is amazing to see, the quality of the work carried out on a seemingly small budget speaks to the dedication and passion of this community - and of course the hard work and skill of those giving time to this project
Current Jobs to do (23/1/22):
Fix Central Locking
Fix drivers side speaker

Re: Rescue Cars accounts (yawn - boring!)
Well done on such frugality!
This forum has the ability to add “sticky” posts doesn’t? Maybe this post plus a link to the PayPal pool donation link in the first post could stay at the top of the relevant section (Member’s Cars?) to maybe entice more donations?
And of course a big well done to all involved for their hard work. Particularly those who are actually working on the cars!

Re: Rescue Cars accounts (yawn - boring!)
Thank you Norm, very much appreciated.
Just to point out that the above figures don't include dcwalker's spend on R2. Thanks to raids on his own spares stash plus lots of his time and effort, Pud is looking very much better now - we are looking forward to seeing the actual rather than photos.

I am hoping to get Pud's rear bumper paintwork sorted out now the better weather has finally arrived .
She has come together really nicely - and frankly, bearing in mind they are original, she has the best rear arches I think I have ever seen on a 480!
And yes, she will be coming to the next meet whenever we can arrange one (unless Lee feels like driving a second car, and I doubt she will, then Lily will just have to sulk )

Re: Rescue Cars accounts (yawn - boring!)
Time for accounts again. Sorry it's a bit messy, anyone know how to add spaces ? It's ignoring my attempts to line numerical entries up neatly.
Income:
£ 2164.80 cash donations to money pool
600.25 other donations
45.00 sale of parts
57.00 owed to Jeff
172.00 R1 transport donated
250.00 R4 purchase donated
£3289.05 Total
Expenditure:
£1031.88 R1
468.00 R4
1490.00 R5
261.20 Jeff's stock of new parts
£3251.08 Total
37.97 balance in Paypal account
£3289.05
R3 has now dropped out of the accounts due to the sale recouping all our costs.
R6 and R7 are waiting in the wings - Al and I are funding them pending a cash injection from the sale of the next completed one. A lot of the parts Jeff salvaged from breaking B1 have been used or earmarked for rescue cars. Unfortunately B1 had a hard life so a lot of parts weren't worth keeping. It didn't yield the large stash we were hoping for, but even so Jeff's heroic efforts were well worthwhile.
Huge thanks to all our kind donors, I never anticipated so much support when we first started (or so many cars desperately in need of saving )
