Btw, what did you do with the dash? Did you repair those plastic hangers?
Re: 480 turbo CC Bello
Time to change the hazard bulb
The most difficult is to split the interior from the external body. After that the inner parts come out easily.

and the most important thing.
From this
To this
Now it is possible to listen to music with the engine stopped without freezing on winter.
The new swicht without 0 position runs the fan all the time. If you stop the engine, after 5 minutes, the fan blows cold air inside the car. Not funny.
The switch has a nice green light thanks to Balto8 who put a led inside. Now it is much more efficient and the fan is also happier

Looks nice!
In my opinion cool white leds don't fit the car style. I'd give a try to warm white leds.

I'm a bit divided. Warm light fits with old cars, but the 480 is an spaceship to the future.

On the other side, it was easy to buy those leds in the chinesse shop at 2,5 euros couple

Big city, big polution, so time to solve the problem. The spring time forces to use more frequently the ventilation and A/C.
As it is impossible to find the original air polen filter, I found a filter with a good size. It comes from a Renault Clio mkII. It fits in the place without removing any parts.
But then, I discovered that the polen filter doesn't stop small particle that can be harmful. There're cars like Tesla that comes with better filters, they are HEPA, High Eficiency Particle Arrest . They can be found frequently on vacumm cleaner.
I bought them from ebay. It is a filter for a Electrolux vacumm cleaner and it is lavable. I bought two as they fit very well on the volvo.
Hepa Filtre H12 Lavable Pr Electrolux Boldio Excellio Oxy 3 FC8031
http://www.ebay.es/itm/361366666742?_tr ... EBIDX%3AIT
I made the box for the filters recycling foam from the rubbish. Maybe it doesn't stand for long time but it is so easy to cut with the blade....quick job
I removed the rubber seal and created the surronding with the foam.
I added foam rubber on the bottom for better fit and better seal.
One filter fits upside and the other downside.
I didn't glue the box on the car, but I don't think it is going to move and it is easy to remove if something goes wrong.
Smile, fresh air inside

Re: 480 turbo CC Bello
Maybe add a pre-filter to keep larger particles out of the HEPA? You could just use velcro and some thin foam over the top.
Well done though on that bit of improvisation.

Yes, the look is not very professional , but it works and you know, when there's no time for good DIY, better this than nothing.
Good point, I can add the other filter on top. I was worried but the fan blows air in a similar ammount than without filter.
There's also an active filter for cars with an internal fan that clean the air in 10 minutes, it's very popular on asia:

Re: 480 turbo CC Bello
Another fix was to remove an whisling noise coming from the steering pump.
It was enough to loose a bit the belt. It was too tight forcing the bearing to make the noise. It is a wide belt and with stripes, difficult to see it sliding, even with the aircon switched on.

Re: 480 turbo CC Bello
Time to seal the rearlamps.
The water came in from the rearlamps that had the rubber unglued. The water arrived to the rear right floor from the boot.
I have to change also the rubber seal of the glass as a bit of water continues to go in.

Re: 480 turbo CC Bello
Time also to repair the rear defroster. The electrical system works but the lines have lost its conductivity.
I bought a kind of electrical paint with argent made for repairing electrical circuits. It is a bit thick and difficult to spread.
I masked the lines and paint the lines with the paint.
It works but demister is not homogeneous, depending on the ammount of paint it demist more or less.
Maybe another type of paint would work better.

Re: 480 turbo CC Bello
Time to repair the dashboard.
Someone tried to remove creaking from the dash adding foam into it but without focusing on the source of noise and, you know, to remove the dash and the brittle plastic made the rest. I found three points completely broken without any portion of plastic where to screw the big black bezel.
I created the part adding fiber glass, it is very strong, and permit to screw directly onto the fiber without adding metallic clips if you want.
First I removed the part that it is attached to the dashboard for best fitting with the black bezel.

..and reinforce other brittle parts.
cyanocrylate glue are good to reinforce when there is only small cracks, otherwise I add the fiber glass or just the poliester resin that creates thickness with strength.
