Ebay! messages

Some things just can't be placed elsewhere. Have you been speeding and got fined? Or spotted a nice new Volvo on the web somewhere? All non-480 messages can be posted in this part of the board.

Post by martinholmesuk » Fri Oct 24, 2008 4:56 pm

I won a laptop supply and the seller sent it no problem and the auction was a dutch auction (multi same items on auction) and it was still running so I won another PSU and paid via paypal day ago and then today Ebay sends me this message

MC029 SB NOTICE: eBay Auction 140272358654 - M 30 ETC PA3467E-1AC3 PA3396E-1ACA SADP-65KB 19V 3.42A Cancelled - Results Null and Void

If the seller receives your money he should sent you your PSU.
If he does not ask Pay-Pal for a refund including the E-bay message.
I think the auction was ended because it had multiple items in one auction.

Whereas I think it was ended due to the title not stating that it was a compatible rather than OEM power supply.

So already we have two conflicting opinions on why e-bay pulled a listing. Whats galling is that e-bay also don't tell the seller! (at least in my experience) leaving me to list it again with an identical listing, which thankfully this time around they didn't take exception to. (or find, i don't care which particularly)

I' with Van on this one, politely contact the seller to ask for an ETA, if he doesn't give you one or it fails to turn up then get your money back.

Ebay has strict rules for auctions. If you do not obey them they might spot it or someone may report you.

Problem is though, I thought I had obeyed them yet they pulled it for a listing breach but failed to tell me which of their petty rules i had breached. Hence I just clicked relist - done.
