First Volvo C30 meeting in the Netherlands,

Last weekend there was a Volvo C30 meeting organised in the Netherlands.

I really like these C30s especially the C30R Volvo recently brought out.

Wish it was a C30R with some perfomance increases, no its a C30 R-DESIGN which means it looks good, but goes like every other C30

Hey rgreenhalf,

Have you drove already a C30 T5 ?
- 230 PK (Hp) -
- 0-100 km/h (0-62,14 M/h): 6,7 sec -
- Topspeed 240 km/h (149.13 M/h13Miles/h) -
- Couple: 320 Nm - 1500-5000 Rpm -

This goes really faster than a 480 who has in Turbo version only:
- 118 PK (Hp) -
- Topspeed: 195 - 200 km/h (121.17 - 124.27 M/h) -
- 0-100 km/h (0-62,14 M/h): 9,5 sec -
- Couple: 175 Nm - 3300 Rpm -

I would really like to get my hands on a c30 t5
They have the same sort of styling cue as the 480

Lol, no different to the the 480 then; all those fancy names (eg GT!) and still no engine tunings!

Lol, to be fair, i should hope it DOES have more power than the 480 turbo...engine development has come a long way in the last ten years!!

Yeah I know theres the T5 version, the wonderful 5 Cyliner that Ford use in the new ST (albeit Ford has it slightly more tuned) but whats the wonder of this power if It just won't handle? And last time I specced up a T5 C30 it was close to Ã‚Â£30,000!

Wooooo really that much??

Hmmmm. i know what i would buy if i had that sort of money lurking around...sadly for Volvo tho, it wouldnt be a C30

Yeah I think they took some bits from the 480 as it was the last coupe they did before the C70 (i think thats right)

I have a mate who works in a Ford garage and apparently ford skimped a bit on the gearbox making the first 2 gears seem as if they limit the performance slightly? Dunno how true this is but i didnt put me off trying to win one off my Nectar card!
