Centres needed for 480GT wheels (Vesa)

Cleaned up the garage and found some parts you want to sell? Or are you looking for that one part? You can advertise or request just about anything that has to do with the Volvo 480 in here: brochures, towing-hooks, antenna's, etc etc...

Centres needed for 480GT wheels (Vesa)

Post by jamescarruthers » Fri Apr 09, 2010 11:47 am

Hi,

I was so incredibly chuffed when I got these wheels off eBay but they've arrived with no centre caps and Volvo don't stock them anymore so I'm a bit screwed really!

Does anyone have a knackered set of Vesa wheels that they can help me out with the centre caps. I know its very unlikely as there can't be that many sets if they only came with the 480GT. Or has anyone seen any in a scrap yard anywhere? Or do you know if they are used on the 440/460? Or even if they are used on another car but different centres that don't say Volvo.

Alternatively I was thinking that I could somehow modify the ones off the Atlas or Pollux wheels to fit. The result wont be great as the outside edge is spoked like the rest of the wheel to fit in but I might have to have a go to fill the circular hole.

Thanks,

James

The center caps were used on various models alloys, at least 5 different wheels used this center cap. Shouldn't be hard to find

The caps aren't circular, they've got part of the alloy design around the edge. Dog-toothed maybe? Do you mean other models of Volvo wheels used these caps on similar designs? I think the 700 series had some like this.

Any information would be much appreciated.

Sorry for the late reply, but the centre caps were mostly used for the 14" wheels I don't know the names of the wheels, Pollux was one of them i thought.

Thanks everyone for your replies.

I got a set. I wish I'd realised they were the same as the Pollux ones that were originlly on the car. I had to wait 2 weeks for delivery of something I already had!

I didn't notice on the parts catalogue that they were the same part number!

The wheels look great on the car.
