FOR SALE - Leather Seats
Well I've held them for someone for 2 months, and they have made no effort to pick them up, even to the point of saying they would come out in two hours time - that was the last I heard from them two weeks ago. So balls to 'em.
From an early model, so no headrests on the rear seats, in decen nick, no rips or tears, however there are some scratches here and there and the drivers seat bolster is worn, however it is not worn through yet.
They are a bit dusty, they've been in the shed two months.
They had offered me 200 quid, but as they didn't come up with the cash I am open to offers.
Hurry before the weather turns cold and the mice make a nest in them.

I didn't say that was what I was asking for them! However there was a time way back when, when all the long term 480 owners that have all given up were here when they would probably have gone for that. I know - I missed out on sets before I got these. How times change eh?
As for £30 well I don't like the jacquard half as much anyway, and if I had a set for sale that's about all I'd want for it.

So, its four months later, we're at the start of a recession and I finally get around to putting them on ebay.
ebay listing
Buyer turned up first thing this morning paid in cold hard cash and went off a very happy man. - he told me his max bid was £180.
Don't think that £155 is too bad for some seats that were "only worth 30 quid." or "200 must be a typo"
Rule one, know what the parts your selling are worth

You did well there mate! I have a set of full leather sitting in my shed that
cost me £40. A whole tenner more than I paid for the Jaquard!
(didn't think it would have been very fair to mention that while the
auction was live)

Seats made of cows bottoms.
I would like a set of leather sets, reasonable condition and cheap of price. I will put them in my 88 ES and the wife will leave it alone (she is of the vegetarian ilk)
Anyone got any I can collect within easy reach of Southampton?
