FOR SALE - drivers side window motor/regulator unit

Cleaned up the garage and found some parts you want to sell? Or are you looking for that one part? You can advertise or request just about anything that has to do with the Volvo 480 in here: brochures, towing-hooks, antenna's, etc etc...

Hi,

please change the subject from this add to lowercase, on this forum it is not appreciated when someone posts upper-case subjects. Thank you!

Think i do need a replacement to my driver's side window. My cable is knackered/snapped and reeled into the motor and window no longer goes up/down and just making a crunching sound. Sorry if i sound thick, but just wonder when you say the window motor/regulator - does that mean the entire mechanism i should replace with and if so how much?

Regards
Rod

Hi rod,

the regulator is the whole unit. The cable snaps on them like what has happened on yours due to a crap design. A replacement regulator will solve all your problems and it is just a case of removing the door panel (just a few phillips head screws) and then undoing the six 10mm bolts (4 that hold the regulator to the door and 2 that hold the regulator arm to the glass) and it will come straight out with a little manouvering. A satisfying and very easy fix! Check the allignment of grooves it sits in when you refit the new regulator as If it goes on at a slight angle, it can cause the motor to go again!

Hope this helps,

Rob
