480 for Sale

A gent on the Volvo forum has a 480 for sale.
No price but the following info. The paintwork has a few overtones of a different touch up in places, she is all complete, starts and runs, approx 43,000 miles on clock. It is available to view just outside of Norwich.
If anyone is interested, let me know and I pass on some details.

This is now available for offers around £500 as owner needs space. Will be scrapped in 2 weeks of it doesn't sell which is a shame.

It is really sad.... it must go for £500 surely....?
I hate to be a vulture, but if it is scrapped, can you let me know where.... I need a carpet... no interior pics but looks presentable already. Breakers yards have a habit of leaving doors & windows open or off entirely. I have seen two cars now that would of had salvageable carpets but now have footwells only fit for frogspawn
Or tell me to bog off and create a Volvo forum ID! I just remember the 400 sections being pretty quiet.

Why don't we all club together, buy the car and donate it to one of our number who is currently off road? That way the car remains on the road and not a casualty of the great garage in the sky, and someone deserving gets a low mileage daily driver gratis.
Just an idea.. crazy yah, but worthy of consideration? mebbe:)

Nice idea Martin, I'd be willing to donate. Perhaps we could use it as a pool car.Anyone else got any thoughts ?

I've a carpet cleaner and access to LOTS of chemicals, so can happily attempt salvage on any you find.

I am willing to donate if some one can store it, it’s a great idea Martin. The car looks far too good to scrap going by the pictures.

Well, I emailed the owner (Graham) about a week ago, but have had no reply as things stand.
I'd hate to see the car go to the 480 wedge in the sky, and would put money in to preserve her, or even go the whole hog and take her on - although i have nowhere to store another car just now.
