september lincoln meet

Post by Roo » Mon Sep 19, 2005 9:57 am

What a meet!
Murf and myself got back last night from an excellent weekend. great company and superbly organised event.

It was great to put some faces to names and also meet up with ones i already knew.
its a shame we couldn't stay longer but i am glad i made the effort to come down.
The raffle, for me couldn't have been better. i now have a proper spoiler for my turbo rather than one held together with a million rivets!
thanks to all who attended and made it what it was, thanks to mr and mrs laserowl too for the meet. :D
well, better go get some work done now, the low of monday has hit me after such a good weekend...

That wasn't brasco, that was the late night demolition of one of the power-station's cooling towers,

Was a great meeting, though i'm tired, hungover and sore! well done to the Owls for a job well done in the organisation.

It was as always great fun seeing the 'hardcore'....and lots of new faces too; lots of very friendly and interesting people as i have come to expect from you all! I hope to see you all again some time.

Right I'm off to bed... :bored:

Thanks to Wayne and Nikkie for a great and organised meeting (more than I can say about mine), to Lee for the entertainment (never lets us down), John for being John, Mart for letting me have a go in Vader, to 480Guy for giving me the 400 series brochure and everyone else that made this meeting possible.

Will have the pics online a little later

Ditto all the thanks to Wayne & Nikki for a great weekend - great choice of venue too! Michele & I got home OK, no mishaps even though i touched Vader!! It was good seeing old and new faces again for a weekend of campin' and drivin' and drinkin', hope to do it all again soon! It'll be nice to not wake up on the floor tonight though... :D

Cheers!

A big thanks from me to wayne and Nikki too for all the work you put in to make it an excellent meet :D

thanks also to Reynolds_p1 for my new jacquard interior, lee for my lovely carbon snow cover, brasco for being the most effective alarm clock ever and JT for the kronembourg hidden behind the pub wall
Thanks to Roo for putting up with my bad driving, bad music and constant drivel, for 5 hours drive in each direction
also, a mention must go to the europeans who attended, that must have been a hell of a drive!!!

nothing fell off my car at all, i feel so lucky! maybe vader passed my car some good luck when they were parked side by side all night.
just remembered though, that i scratched my bonnet trying to fit my snow cover after a few too many JD and cokes, oops

Thank you to all who came and made the meet what it was.

BIG UP RESPECT TO ALL THE PEOPLE WHO CAME ACROSS THE WATER TO OUR SMALL ISLAND TO SIT IN A FIELD LITTERED WITH CHEESE WEDGES :hopping:

Big thank you must go out to our hosts WAYNE & NIKKI :D

I must say sorry to MHUK for setting VADER'S brakes on fire and getting all 4 wheels of the ground

Thank you to all that purchased/collected HOMD goods

As with true english style one car must die at the meet. This time it was a white one which had been parked by vader

And yes the Apple pie ice cream really does taste like apple pie its f%*king weird

Must also say sorry to anyone who I might have scared (EVE)

All in all top notch
