Volvo 480's 20th birthday ?

can only be on two places..
1 ) Born in the netherlands,
2 GÃ¶teborg in Sweden

I think Born is not an option, maybe just a stop, because there is not a screw volvo in the factory there, If it still exists by that time ( trouble with selling the smart for four, and mitsu colt ! build by mitsu and daimler chrijsler)

so leaves Sweden.. a life experience.. ask any one who was there once.. they al want to go back.

and its just a few fuel tanks away.. (and the joy to drive !!)

any other option would be a half one..

maybe we can go in a "Wolf pack " though europe, and do little stops on the way there as in born or so from out of france ..

would sertainly like to help organise something ...

Sweden is a hell of a trip when one comes from France or southern Europe.

Geneva or the Netherlands sounds more affordable to me.

I think it would be great a summer 2006 meeting in Portugal, celebrating our 480's 20th anniversary.

All I need is to hear club member's interest in that and we will arrange everything. The thread I started under "Meting in Portugal" can be transferred for next year.
Perhaps this year we can start with a meeting for Portuguese members, send some photos and open your appetite for next year.

I'm for France!!! I'm against meet in Portugal for two reasons:
1)Too far
2)Great Portugese drivers

Probably better than France would be Born in the Nederlands. Stockholm is too far. Born is a place where all 480s were born. Probably they would love to see their first home again

Stockholm has nothing to do with Volvo, GÃ¶teborg has. That's not too far. By the way, I don't think Portugal isn't too far away if it's a big well-organised meeting. The 480 is a joy to drive, so any argument that it would be too far is rubbish

I'd really love to go and to get to Portugal I would have to cross whole Germany, France and Spain. At that tmie you'll have your own house so we can have party there!

Portugal is an excelent place to do a meet

Portugal is a bit far from center Europe, but.... Volvo's 480 were made to drive

They only make Smarts and Mitsubishi's. Volvo left that building a while ago.

I meant generally in the village/area - I know the car plant isn't Volvo now.
