Volvo 480 Club Europe

The big advantage of this one is that anyone can join in, regardless of location, so hopefully we'll have lots of participants. If anyone is unable to post photos just shout for help before the day.

Jobs to do in advance:-
The usual car clean and take your arrival photo ready to post.
Clean and tidy your engine bay and photo that as well.

Here's the schedule:

9 - 10am 'Arrive' by posting a picture on this thread of yourself getting out of your car. Greet others and chat amongst ourselves, post addittional photos if necessary (instead of the usual heads under someone's bonnet).

10 o'clock - details announced on here of morning challenge, go away and work on it, deadline for answers 2pm

12 - 2pm - re-join the forum at a convenient time for you. Post details/pics of a project you would like to do on your 480 we can discuss, also post a pic of you with an interesting drink

2 o'clock - details announced on here of afternoon challenge, go away and think about it, deadline for replies 6pm

5 - 7pm - re-join the forum at a convenient time for you. Post your engine bay photo, who has the cleanest, most original or interesting one ? To be judged by jifflemon, who is giving a prize for this one

7.30 480 quiz - answers by pm to me, scored in the order they arrive and a tight time limit to avoid forum searches or google answers !

8pm quiz answers, scores, challenge results

thinking it must be May - difficult to keep track in these strange times.

Just thinking ahead, I have never been able to post pics(age thing) I use an iPhone or iPad any help much appreciated as I am a bit of a techno phobe!

For Anyone whose struggling, drop me a PM and I'll happily host the post and give you a link that you can post in the thread.

That way you can use whatever picture transfer you're comfortable with (email/Text/whatsapp/messenger/skype).

It'd probably make sense to make contact BEFORE the event rather than bombard me on the day!

I'm back at work and I'm working this day now.

It wouldn't be pretty with it's dash ripped out anyway! Hopefully we'll manage some form of physical meet later in they year perhaps.

My 480 is still in the garage and hasn't moved for a while, but hopefully she will appear at sometime during the summer.

I've just recovered from coronavirus so not done anything of note for a while.

Firstly, congrats on recovering. Scary times indeed.
