and here are some dashcam shots of this exiting 2 lap race............
waiting in the pitlane, engines revving ready for the rolling start -
and they're off into the first corner
we'll skip the rest of lap 1 cos it was boring, here we are at the end
lots of excited photographers took advantage of a pause at the start/finish line
this is what happens whem you stand in front of the dashcam
and they're off on lap 2
can dc catch jc up the hill ?
yes, he's going through on the outside !! (we'll ignore the fact that jc's wondering where to park for photos)
coming into the final bend
back in the pits, having missed the finish line
thankfully didnt need the breakdown truck to bring any mangled wrecks back
and safely back in the carpark, hearts hammering with sheer exhilaration
After that bit of nonsense, thanks are owed to jifflemon for loaning James a spare 480 as his is temporarily off the road, so once again we had 3 cars at Knockhill, and this year only 1 was ours ! I shall be sending a huge thank you to the circuit for allowing us to drive it in between their trackday sessions, such a nice bunch of people there.
We met up with alan480 and cranna21 at Cove Bay again, and I came home with a foot rest and a new higher armrest, both provided by the curly bits on a stainless exhaust purchased from Fraser's break which is destined for Snazzy. Fitting it in Sven with all her ladyship's luggage was a bit of a challenge, but we got there. Amazing just how much stuff a cat needs. I was very happy that the exhaust was spotlessly clean, great job, thank you Fraser.
Really good to meet up with 480 friends again, now I really must get cracking on the October meet.
