4th June, 2017 ‘Volvo Enthusiasts Club National Gathering & Founders Day’
To be held at Harvington Hall near Kidderminster, Worcestershire – a Moated Medieval and Elizabethan manor-house with wall paintings and the finest series of priests hiding holes in the country built in the 1580’s www.harvingtonhall.com – ALL Volvo Owners, enthusiasts and friends welcome to come along from 11.30am onwards - The Volvo Enthusiasts Club National Day Out which this year will also celebrate Volvo’s 90th Birthday – for more information contact kevinprice.vec@btinternet.com

If anyone fancies joining us, please do. Al and I will be travelling from Norfolk via the A14 so perhaps we could meet others along the way for a small convoy waving the flag for 480s.

Hi Sylvia,

Welcome. Good to see that you have joined the Volvo Enthusiasts Club.

All our events are open to any Volvo owners and we are pleased to see everyone, even if they don't come in their Volvo.

We obviously encourage membership and the benefits e.g. Members usually receive free tea/coffee at events and if there is an entry fee to an attraction we try to obtain discounts for members. The National Gathering is always FREE to Members and includes entry into Hall, Castle etc and free tea/coffee and usually piece of cake or something.

It would be great to see more members from Europe and 480's so please pass on our invitation.

Look forward to meeting you at last and further details of events incl proposed trip to Sweden will appear in next Club Magazine - due early March.

Our paths would meet at the junction of the M40 and A46, near Warwick. We could meet you there and go in convoy for the last 20 miles. If jifflemon comes, he could hook up with you at Banbury, and if jamescarruthers comes, he can join us at Cambridge.
Anyone else want to join the fun ?

I'm afraid I'm not here on June 4th otherwise I would love to have joined you all

I will probably already be in Birmingham when you come past Northampton but I'm planning to head over to Kidderminster in the afternoon sometime to join the meet for a bit It's not far to come from Brum

I have a nagging feeling we are doing something on 3rd June, but I have no idea what

I might see if I can make it if it isn't something that knocks out the whole weekend!

Further information on the VEC meet at Harvington Hall:

Everyone welcome whether VEC member or not and whether in a Volvo or not. Some display cars will be concours quality (blimey ), others restoration projects in progress, and some everyday drivers.

Arrival 11.30 am onwards - follow the signs for VEC to the carpark area for Volvos on display (at the moment just 4 480s from our club).
Members only (me and Al) can take along spares for autojumble type sale - I'm happy to offer anything anyone wants to bring, but no idea how many 480s belong to this club

Anyone else wanting to join the convoy (via A14) please pm me so we can arrange meeting along the way nearer the day.

You can just turn up any time after 11.30 on the day but nice to know who to look out for in the display area. Postcode is DY10 4LR.
