Rolling Road-Solihull-6th December

Post by esta » Tue Nov 18, 2008 3:21 pm

For a laugh decided to go along with the lads at work to the rolling road in Solihull.

If you fancy tagging along let me know! The guy organising it says the more the merrier-and cheaper! ;) Price is currently sitting at £35/car.

Would really love a richmodded 480 to come along and show all my mates how damn good the 480 is!!!

Also any ideas on adding even the tiniest amount of brake to a 2l NA would be SOOOOO useful! ;) Cant be loosing against stupid fiestas n 106s!!

Saxos shouldn't be a worry; even the VTS has 120bhp, so a standard 480 turbo would be alright.

Buy an eBay "SUPERCHIP" for the day .

LOL what a coincedence! on the same day my 440 with richmod is off to SPAMSPEED Motorsport and going on the dyno, if i had known you where doing this i would of come along, but paid and booked my time with "spam" now (used to work with him sometime ago, and has built many engines for me!)

Also if you want the best out of your 2l give a stage 0 - oil filters ect that should get it running it's best, maybe even consider putting some tesco 99ron super in for the run?
Toys:-
2001 Ford focus (not as much fun as my volvo was!)
94 440 turbo auto (Sent to the main dealer in the sky :cryhard: )
92 Suzuki gn250 (Still in rebuild)

Well if ill cut you a deal ill post my figures, With a pic of the readout, although tbh it wont be that impressive! turbos always under preform on the dyno, no 70+ mph wind on the intercooler.

Sounds like a plan!! Good luck with it! Cant wait to see results!! Really love the way your car looks btw!

Also, will have a look at oil filters etc, vac the old air filter, top up with old 99RON-or maybe the Optimax? (101 isnt it? :dunno:) Cant be getting the lowest score! I keep being told its NOT a race...they just dont understand!!!

And of course purchase a super chip

A decent dyno will have a fan capable of producing a 70+MPH wind.

My results are not going to be astonishing! been an auto doesnt help for the power (plus found out today my down pipe has a big hole in it! at least i know why it has a misfire now!)

but it would be nice to see if my new exhaust can convince a couple of ponys extra!

Cheers for the complements on the car, it's been hard work. but it's going to have a better stance soon, it's getting lowered and it also has a laguna front splitter fitted. just need to get a fog light to finish the front off.

hmm i might be wrong then. (seeing as the place im going to usualy play with big US V8's)

Yes, Martin, so all I can get is WHP, which in my view is what really matters.

Cheers, Chris.

lol.

Martins quite right...fuel cost there and back would be silly. Full tank of 99.

I'll think about it. If the 480 was on the road i'd be tempted to bring that.

Cheers, Chris.
