Welcome home Steve!

Sue (Chacks) will be posting menus and deposit arrangements the next couple of days, along with accom tarrifs (for the Wynnstay not ours, don't worry Rich! ) as she's been busy in the background sorting this out with the Wynnstay Arms for us.

Think it's going to be quite a night. ;)

ps - if anyone has a spare drivers-side mudflap (with Volvo logo) they want to sell, bring it along - needed one for 3years now on the ES :volvo:

Christmas Meal Orders/Deposits

Post by Sue Chacks » Tue Nov 21, 2006 6:38 pm

Dear Fellow North Wales Christmas Meet Members

Firstly I have to say that this is my first ever post and its a little scary. :scared:

However, as you are all no doubt aware the Christmas meet plans are nicely underway.

I have attached the menu for those of you who are eating and I presume that's everyone. So please take a look and when you have decided what you want, could you please let me know as soon as possible? I have to get the orders placed by the 1st/2nd of December latest.

The venue requires a £10.00pp deposit by the 27th of Novemeber. Please make your cheques payable to 'The Wynnstay Arms Hotel' and post them to Stu Chacks. If you need the address again just pm us. This will leave a balance of £8.95 payable on the night.

Right here's the menu.

Image
(apologies for size of menu - let me know if you need larger pic emailed)

Now for those of you wanting to stay there the night, the room rates at The Wynnstay Arms are as follows:- Single Room £37.50 & a double is £55.00, they even throw in a full English Breakfast for you..........and don't worry, if you're staying at the Chacks I'll include one gratis!

The telephone number for the Wynnstay is 01978-822187 and they still had rooms available last week, just don't leave it too long.

Right I think that's about it so I'll say cherio and see you all on the 9th December. :D

Sue.

OK, think I've PM'd everyone attending now re Sue's eats deposit post. We will only book places for people who have posted in the deposits as don't want to get stung for any no-shows of course, so please remember to post in this week!! :D

VBB will add the full itinery this week on his 1st post with places/times/etc. Any queries at all just PM/call either of us.

Quiz this year is lot more general knowledge, but have got a couple of cheeky Volvo questions in there, so get swotting. Prizes for best bowler and quiz. Mart can confirm the booby prize is always something special too ;)

Will PM members who have expressed an interest in attending, but aren't on the 1st post list next week once main deposits are in to see if there's any places spare as unfort looks as if we're fully booked sorry.

And on a final note - I'd like to be the 1st to welcome our newest female member 'Sue Chacks' Hi Sue! ;)

Pulling strings for the amigos.....

Just to finish off the evening Sue and I have organised for a friend to come along and play some live music from 9pm>.

Adam will perform down at the Bridge End Inn (little pub over road from Wynnstay Arms) exclusivley for us around 9pm>. Seen him play a couple of times and he's very good. As well as doing covers (Snow Patrol/etc) he writes a lot of his own stuff too, available as downloads from above site.

I reckon in a couple of years we'll be saying "Eeee, I saw that lad play before he was famous!" 8)

Hey there Sue Chacks. Nice to see you on the forum!
Either my eyesight is fading or my screen resolution is too high, 'cos I'm struggling to read the menu. I don't want to order a haddock and end up with a houndog by mistake! (As in that Elvis classic "You ate nothing but a houndog...")* Could you maybe post or link to a larger scan for the geriatrics and fussy eaters amongst us?

Thanks, and looking forward to catching up with the Checkses soon.

Rich

As the 480 needed a spin I took it on scenic route again. It was a clearer day today and got some good pics
