And just in case any of our visitors haven't quite been gripped by the venue yet.............

Once upon a time in the Kingdom of Heaven, God went missing for 6 days.

Eventually Gabriel the archangel found him, resting on the seventh day.
He inquired of God, "Where have you been??" God sighed a deep sigh of satisfaction and proudly pointed downwards through the clouds, "Look Gabriel, look what I've made!"

Archangel Gabriel looked puzzled and said - "what is it?"

*"It's a planet" replied God, "and I've put LIFE on it. I'm* going to call it Earth and it's going to be a great place of balance".

"Balance?" inquired Gabriel, still confused.

*God explained pointing to* different parts of Earth, "for example Northern Europe will be a place of great opportunity and wealth while Southern Europe is going to be poor; the Middle East over there will be a hot spot. Over there I've place a continent of white people and over there is a continent of black people", God continued, pointing to
different countries. "And over there, I call this place America. North America will be rich and powerful and cold, while South America will be poor, and hot and friendly. And the little spot in the middle is Central America, which is a hot spot. Can you see the balance??"

"Yes!" said the Archangel, impressed by Gods work, and then he pointed to a small country in Northern Europe, "what's that one?"

"Ah," said God,"That's Cymru (or Wales), the most glorious place on Earth. There are beautiful snow capped mountains, untouched rivers, streams and lakes of exquisite, timeless beauty. The people make a drink called cwrw(or beer) which means the Water of Life'. The people are good looking, intelligent and humorous with wonderful singing voices and they're going to be found travelling the world. They'll be extremely sociable, hard working and high achieving, and they will be known throughout the world as warriors, engineers, inventors and pioneers".

Gabriel gasped in wonder and then admiration but then exclaimed "But Lord I thought you said there will be a BALANCE! This doesn't seem fair. The beautiful mountains and rivers, the intelligence and humour and the beer. They seem to have everything."

God replied wisely ... "Oh No. They won't have everything. You just wait and see the fucking neighbours I'm going to give them!" :hopping:

Seriously, folks, looking forward to seeing you all in our wonderful land :D

Well folks, only a couple of days to go. Hope everyone's got their fingers crossed for some clear weather for the drive!

Pleased to say Shimon might be joining us later on bringing his black 480ES which has a couple of previous owners you might know (VBB&Dragon).

Yesterday I had to pay Megabowl the remainder of everyones £10.75 Bowling cost, so will collect the remaining £5.75 when you arrive please.

Remainder of meal cost can be paid direct to The Wynnstay after the meal (£8.95). And to keep things simple everyone can just order and pay for drinks at the bar themselves.

Just to confirm after the meal (9pm>) we're heading to the Bridge End Inn to see Adam Astbury play for us, this is just down the hill from the Wynnstay (1min walk) past the chinese takeaway on the right for anyone who gets lost en-route!

Can everyone make sure they're either at ours or the Wynnstay no later than 12.45 as we will be leaving around 1pm. PM me or VBB if you don't have our tel.numbers incase your running late/lost.
Just leaves me to say look forward to seeing everyone Saturday, your all sure of a welcome in the valleys! :D

The Chacks.

Ok there has been a slight change in plan, because it has been constantly pissing down here for the last week the river we have to cross is close to breaking point and so the ford is very deep. So we are going to take a little detour around rather than through. We will still be going over the mountains its just the first little bit of the route that we are going to miss.

See you all on Saturday nice and early ;)

Hey all,

I was pondering on shooting down to finally meet you all and to spread the 440 word and try and convert you all but I got an offer to go over to France so I'm afraid that took precidence. I know, how dare I!

I hope it all goes well and that you all enjoy yourselves, but as your driving along those mountain tops with the gorgeous scenary around you, stop and think, "i could be doing this in a 440"

Ciao

Matt.
