Re: FORUM ISSUES - Report them here
Thanks to Jim and Adam for pointing out that there was a problem with PM's not being displayed (and other mischief and mayhem in that area).
Last week our webhost provider updated PHP on the servers - perhaps that caused some incompatibility with the old PHPBB forum version we had running. I have just finished upgrading PHPBB to the latest version - if you should run into any problems please post them below and e-mail me directly. Hopefully all is back to 100% working order now!
Best regards,
Daniel

Re: FORUM ISSUES - Report them here
I can't see any of the messages in my inbox or sent messages and it says that I have a message notification but I can't read it.

I believe your new PM count in the user table is stuck at 1 when it should be 0 which is why you are seeing you have one PM when you actually don't have any.
I don't have database access so I have asked Daniel to correct this for you.
Thanks

Re: FORUM ISSUES - Report them here
I'm trying to link to a picture on my Flickr account for my Avatar. I keep getting a message saying that the URL is invalid.

Avatar isnt subject to the 10 post rule unless Daniel has made some changes.Captain Slow wrote:Not sure about invalid url, but, slash, you need 10 posts before you can post links/pictures
Slash, can you PM me the link to the pictures and I'll link it to your avatar.

Re: FORUM ISSUES - Report them here
Fixed.
At some point the maximum Avatar size has been changed from 160 x 100 to 80 x 80 so the avatar was to big.
I've resized and added to your profile.
I've also updated the forum charter to reflect the size restrictions.
Thanks
Adam

Apologies, didn't read closely enough to realise the question was about avatars...

Re: FORUM ISSUES - Report them here
Twice today the forum was unavaialble the second time at 2.25pm today.
Also it is driving me made but when I try to upload 4 photos from photobucket on to the forum the website is "unavailable" yet if I try 3 it works . At present this is driving me up the wall as I am not certain that the website will not accept a post and I lose all the work and time put into the post.

Re: FORUM ISSUES - Report them here
Could we activate Tapatalk on here? I am on the BX Club and use it on there. Their forum is powered by phpbb too.
Basically it's an app for browsing forums on mobile devices. I only ask as my Blackberry Q10 (which has the sideloaded Android app) seems to dislike the big text box for inputting text (where I'm typing now!).
It's fine apart from once I have text larger than the box, then it has great difficulty placing the cursor!
I looked at the Tapatalk website and it reckons it takes 15 minutes to do. I think it's quite popular with car forums these days and takes the hassle out of browsing multiple forums (well it looks like it does, I'm only browsing one!).
Here's the website http://tapatalk.com I'd really appreciate it if the technical people who look after the forum would consider this.
Thanks,
James Carruthers

I also use TapaTalk on the ambulance forum I frequent, it is useful.
For this forum, Daniel will need to sort it as server access will be required which I don't have. Will drop him a line.

I can't post! It says forbidden and that I don't have permission. I was trying to reply to the thread about seatbelt pretensioner deactivation.

Re: FORUM ISSUES - Report them here
It was this thread:
http://www.volvo-480-europe.org/forum/v ... 12&t=34247
And because that didn't work I tried to PM the OP the message. It was Slash01 I was trying to contact.
Thanks for getting back so quick.
