Flywheel possition

Post by renvo1916v » Fri Oct 10, 2008 4:46 pm

hi there every one. In the hanes manual it says you can only fit thr fly wheel one way but on mine the gap in the teeth for the crank possition sensor is not lined up with the NO. 1 cilinder TDC.is this correct of not?its got a lightened and ballenced bottom end and a high lift cam but it seems to be running even more lumpy than expected.
any help appreciated.

The flywheel can only be positioned in one way, due to bolt array in the flywheel/crank. There are 5 bolts, not equally devided over 360 degrees so there can't be any mistake there. Are you sure you have the right type of flywheel for your computer orange/blue etc ECU?

aah, forgot something, the gap in the teeth is not lined up with the VR-sensor with piston no 1 in TDC position, I believe the gap is about 14-15 teeth before the sensor.
