The turbos that are known to fit the elbow of the older T2 are Saab 900/9000 T3s and the Volvo 940 Turbo Diesel T3. Both are good to about 2 bar or so.

So these turbos go to manifold without any work ?
They will fit with very simple machine work. Any local machine shop would be able to do the work. Details of what needs to be done are earlier in the thread. If you are handy with a rotary file, and have a drill press, then you could do the work yourself.

IT shouldn't cost all that much to have someone do the machining work, and if you follow the instructions I have given you still get to be able to bolt on a T2 if you need to in an emergency

the max RPM has nothing to do with the camshaft as the RPM is software limited

maybe the B18E camshaft is to heavy for a turbo engine, but maybe a other camshaft is better like the b18EP, if it works you can always try the B18E. i want to try the B18E camshaft in my B18FP engine. hope get a few more HP. but when i know i come here. ciao

the b18E cam has more lift and duration, fine if you want a higher powerband and runnin alot more boost, i think it works well on mine at 15psi on a large t25, even better at 25psi. probably a bit naff and may cause issues for a t2 runnin at 14psi tho.

Long time no see :D However, I'm having a hard time finding specs for B18XX camshafts. I'll be running a T3/T4 hybrid in a couple of months, so the camshaft is the last thing I haven't decided on, everything else is pretty much figured out. Help anyone ???

Are there any performance upgrading camshafts for the B20F?

I'll upgrade this engine too, but couldn't find something on the forum about the 2litre.

May have the wrong end of the stick, but I have had quotes of £130+VAT for a Kent re-ground cam and I believe it was £230+VAT for a brand spanking new Kent Cam...quotes for my B20f...

There are a number of mechanical devices which increase sexual arousal, particularly in women. Chief among these is the Volvo 480 ;)

Ah glad you saw it. One guy on here had a re-ground cam in his 2l, but he hasnt been on here for a while-the guy who did the gold flacked black paintwork (smooth480), and he isnt sure who did it (he bought his ready ground!)

As you are probably aware I may be doing this in the future myself!

i got a cam from Quality Engineered Products for 200 quid.even with the timing out and a leaky intake maifold it still feels about 120 bhp altho its not been dyno'd or anything.the problem im having is getting hold of a vernier pully.if anyone knows of one let me know.if not i mite do some drawings and get my frendly local machinist to make me one.if any one is intrested ill post some drawings so you can get them made for your selves.
if in doubt, get a bigger hammer
