partly ot:

i don't seem to able to find that beast right now, but i'll keep on digging. there is an opel (for you islanders: vauxhall :P ) corsa b, running on two c20let engines, fitted with the eds "phase 3+" mods .. currently running something around 660 hp, it does beat the 9 seconds on the quarter mile! that thing is ugly as hell (as all corsas are), which is not quite a problem, as devil won't be able to catch it, either

very nice indeed.

is it 'legal' (ie mot'able) to run it without the shelf in place?
i would seriously consider putting up a partition behind the seats and leaving the block on view if so...

the car has had a few mot's since it was built. it usually runs with the cover (mainly for the noise, but the new owner is considerin a polycarb cover), and did have a prespex partition behind the seats (but it scratches easy, so possibly havin a polycarb one aswell).
i'm not sure how these affect mot's tho.

we think, as the car is goin to be more of a show car, that the owner may have an engine fitted up front at a later date, it would be very interestin, especially at pod. dont think it would run 9's tho.

it uses the same set-up to the front of a GTT, with a few tweaks.
my mate who built the car originally did it in the garage at home, with mainly a grinder and welder, so if your confident with them then yeah. it took him 6 months of evenings to do it first time round. the engineering side of it could probably be done in about a month's evenings now.

Like Haz says, its the same setup as the front of a ggt, so i presume the subframe and shocks/springs, driveshafts amd everything just get welded in at the back, have thought about doing it that way myself before.

yeah just gtt stuff, subframe, shocks, hubs, driveshafts, wishbones, 1.7 gtx engine and gearbox mounts. fixed steering rack.
gtt/campus turrets can be removed from donor car or fabricated like this one. its mainly the subframe mounts that require thought.
