Look great! I'm struggling to see the power steering pump. Can you point it out or send glasses, please?
What about that oil breather tank on the L/H suspension area? Will it not be breathing an oily mist all over your beautiful engine bay?

well, I didn't think it had been as long as 10 months since my last update... but apparently it has!
so... prepare for a wee picture dump...
first of all, i bought a 3d printer beginning of the year, coupled with my experience as a draughtsman/ 3d modeller, have been doing a few wee bits and bobs here and there! such as gauge holders (available for sale) and front nose cone intakes, I know not to everyone's taste, but reason for necessity shown soon!
Further more, ive been focusing on neatening up alot of plumbing since the engine first went in a few years ago, a few examples attached such as new fuel lines, vacuum lines and reworked coolant hoses (and a brand new old stock non headlight washer jet bottle! oh the excitement!)
a few pics of rear suspension for good measure! If you look closely, you can see my re-enforced rear trailing arms to help cope with the stresses of using them as the main suspension member now.
next up finally with an air filter in place, this is the reason for the nose intakes, you can just see I've trimmed an upper section of the nose cone out too, I plan to make up a deflector plate similar to the oem black over rad panel that allows air to travel between the new panel and inside of the nose, directing air to the filter.
Last but certainly not least! a project thats been on going in the background for a few months, Brakes!
So you can see below, fitted are some nice 4 piston Brembos along with a 300mm disc, in addition, myself and a friend have been working on making up a roll centre and bump steer correction kit for excessively lowered cars which in turn allows us to add a little more castor. you can see a stack of random sockets and bits of metal, this will be swapped out for a one piece item once I've figured out my final sizes.
I had been trying to go for a more compact 280m set up using an oem style single piston caliper, so that 15" wheels could be used, but no joy yet. However I'm still looking into this.
a fair update and hopefully it posts without breaking the forum

Always excellent work and great to see updates for this car. The engine bay has been really well executed.
Just one thing... excuse my ignorance...
What on earth is going on in this photo!
You have a rose joint going into an ally block on the LCA which I understand, but why are there three conical spacers and what looks like an old socket going to the knuckle!?!
Hopefully that's just for fitment trials?
Can't wait to hear those throttle bodies one day.
Keep up the good work.

No of course that's the final fitted example...
Just for fitment trials haha, final cones are actually much shorter than the sum of these, above is a worse case scenario stack, track rod has a similar instance too!

Hi all,
a small update, nothing big and exciting as before, engine has been in and out a few times for more and more fettles, issues with oil leaks now hopefully rectified....!
been a bit poor on the picture taking, but i have just finished up a nice little project in conjunction with laquering up the rear lenses to finish off the rear end...

That really is a lovely spoiler - Follows the lines nicely and looks almost OE.
Well played that man.

Just enough is how I'd describe it haha
3d printed brackets bonded to screen, it's on there !
Pics show it fitting poorly as was only taped on in most of the pics so it fits a little more snug

I'm running a mk2 clio 172 gearbox, lots of various codes of these available, but you could just run a standard 480 box if you wanted and tbh probably easier as don't need to muck around with speedo sensor wiring...!

Just red trough your entire board. Wow Fraser, I know your car for quite a while now ( I am @volvo_480es on IG) but I never knew yours was so in depth modified. Suspension wise, brake wise, engine wise (I knew you had a 16V Williams, but not a out those beautiful individual throttle bodies!). All stunning work! Good job! -Thijs from the Netherlands

Two years since an update... how's it all going? What's it looking like now? Any more plans?
