Hi guys,
well today my volvo has sold on ebay, new owner should be coming from ireland to pick it up on friday.
i ended up just biting the bullet and going for a newer car, a 2005 skoda fabia Vrs, which i am really chuffed with, unfortunatley its black so a complete PITA to keep clean.
i had a wicked time with my various 480's, they are great fun, and i will be sad to see it go. but its time to move on now..

Hope you have fun in your new Audi/Skoda-just remember not to flash next time you see a 480-you'd look a bit strange! Hope the 480's gone to a good home anyway...

It's always sad to hear when a member leaves/moves on. But hopefully you will enjoy the skoda and the electrics are a bit more reliable

Thinking of packing in too. This morning I woke up to my gf saying I'd left the lights on. Went outside and it was the breaklights
Started the car, no change, drove a metre forward and backward, lights out. Got out, closed the door, lights go back on. Rinse, repeat, lights out. Went back inside, and the lights came back on. Stood there for five minutes watching the breaklights turn themselves on and off two more times. No one anywhere near the car. I can't afford not to be able to drive away, I need a reliable car. Shrug.
Anyone want an ES for breaking/spares?

I think its the brakelight switch under the pedal.

today teh car went to its new home in ireland, new owner seemed pleased with it and is going to get straight on with repairing it when he gets it back.
it was a sad time to see it go, but its going to a good home.
