Decent garage in London

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Decent garage in London

Post by ace_basement » Fri Jun 29, 2007 11:45 am

We have a few bits and bobs we need to get sorted on our Turbo (we are LOVING it by the way).

Anyone know any garages in London who won't rip us off/suck their teeth/roll their eyes at the sight of a 480? We are new to the world of cars having only owned a knackered camper van, so are starting completely from scratch...

Hi a_b

Did you ever find a decent garage in London. I too live in London and am now the proud owener of a 480 Turbo and will in time be in need of a garage.

Cheers
Sam

Hey Sam... welcome to the board. hope you're having fun with the car...

We went to Braydon Motors http://www.braydonmotors.co.uk in the end - very friendly and helpful. Labour is £50 per hour but they know the cars well. It's 5 minutes from Stoke Newington High Street so it's easy to get into town by public transport if you drop it off on the way to work.

Dundalk Motors in South London, Brockley, Lewisham. They are independent Volvo specialists, have all the necessary equipment and lots of good second hand parts. I know they have sorted out some quirky problems with my neighbours 480 after I recommended them to her after she mentioned that her car had been in and out of other garages (non Volvo specialists) without the problem being resolved.
