average feul indicator

my average feul indicator shows 25,5L/100km!!! when i press reset, it shows - - - for i while and then 25,5 again it means my car drives 4km on 1 liter but when i calculate it i get to almost 10 on 1 can anybody tell me whats behind this?

Willumpie for your information as far as I know The computer uses for the averagefuelconsumption the the information form the injectionunit about the number of times the nozzles have been opened and the information from the speedometer to calculate the average fuelconsumption. Soi the sensor in the tank is not that important in this case.

another thing i noticed is that the realtime feul consuption gives 25.5 as well i'll chek the injection part thnx more hints are welkom to <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

If not you should check your speedometer connections. Sensor and so on even to the big multipinconnectors on the beack of your dashboardinstrument.

i checked all the connections the were all fine i cleaned them s wel with glassfiber sicks resently i fixed the speedo by resoldering the mass point. everything (of the infocenter) works good exept this
