Turbo Problem

hi im having trouble with my turbo, its started going into the red and the end of the gauge when i have my foot down until it cuts out, any idea why it has started doing this as it used to just go to the end of the orange then stop, any ideas would be good <p></p><i></i>

Sounds like either your wastegate is sticking (won't open) or the actuator refuses to open it.<br><br>Richard<br>480 turbo automatic 1991 <p></p><i></i>

If you directly connect the orange rubber pipe from the wastegate directly to the black one (comes up from the bowels of the engine) you should be able to run only 3 psi. This should tell you if your wastegate is working. <p></p><i></i>
