480-how do you wash yours?

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

I'm not sure about shiny black wheels.
Polishing a red car can prematurely age it especially as the older paint jobs do not have any laquer protection.
I stoped polishing months ago as l noticed the appearance of a faded area on my bonnet exactly the same shape as the turbo manifold beneath.
<img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... ohwell.gif ALT=":\">

Zip wax hand wash and leather dry makes people think l've had it resprayed at first glance, so l'm happy.

Well, i youse industrial gas-station-floor-cleaner !
(yep, realy...)
I don't know the brand, a frind of mine gave it to me, but he told me is cost a lot of $$$ ..
Also tried normal engine cleaner a while back, works fine to (not as quick as industrial stuff....)
But that bottle was red/orange from all the toxic warnings <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)"> <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... /smile.gif ALT=":)">
When using the other stuff (the stuff you buy at your local fuel station) , realy rinse well with wather after, it ain't good for your rubber parts if it stays on to long (just eats it away).

And, i only disconnect my battery when replacing it <img src=http://www.ezboard.com/intl/aenglish/im ... s/wink.gif ALT=";)">

Bye!
