My Ruby Anniversary

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

My Ruby Anniversary

Post by sallysal » Fri Nov 11, 2005 10:05 pm

Well it is exactly a year since I became the proud owner of my 480, after searching long and hard I found her in Southport in need of love....and I transplanted her in Scotland...which, as we all know, is fast becoming a veritable hotbed of 480ness....the growing conditions here are just right and they just keep on breeding!

It's not exactly been the cheapest :? motoring year I've had, but it certainly been the most enjoyable! :D She's been reliable, never let me down and is fab to drive, and I still smile when I see her sitting outside the house wagging her tail.

The forum has brought Ruby and I some new friends, lots of new knowledge and a new bf, who's a bit handy around a 480 himself ;) ....which is an advantage! :D

STOP PRESS
At long long longeddy longy longeousny last, I have a fab new interior which was kindly delivered by Richmann1 today :hopping: (hugest thanks to everyone who has pmed and texted me over the last year every time there has been the merest sniff of an interior for sale :D - much appreciated!) It is waiting with the shiny new rear clusters and weather strips to be fitted.....and thus she goes into her second year of Scottish ownership even prettier than she was before :D

Sx :D

Hi Sal!

Congratulations from me as well 8)

Been 480-owner since September 1998, so that's over 7 years now and it still doesn't bore me! I mean, why would I otherwise bother to import a fully loaded German special one ! The only thing is that a yellow T-5R estate is gently whispering in my ear to join the family (besides the 480, not instead of!).

Hope you will also have many happy miles to go :D

Aww, what a nice story to hear, at last the new interior aswell (does the heated drivers side work though - bet you could do with it now)!

Congrats from me and the sister car Sal! :D

Stu.
