My beuatiful 1995 2.0 has been crashed

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

My beuatiful 1995 2.0 has been crashed

Post by Amazone480 » Tue May 17, 2005 8:50 pm

At the end of the day, when I tryed to get home from my work, I end up in the busy traffic.

We where standing stil arround Dordrecht (nl) when a 55+ guy behind me tryed to close the line and braked too late :cryhard:
I cursed him so badley that hey was a little frightened of me
:( :)
I've brought here directly to the dealer after we sign the damage form, so hopefuly she wil be just as pretty as she where before.

I hope my neck and my headache are finnished in a few day's

And after she is fixed I gonna let her rest voor a few years so knowone can crash her again :?

It good that you're OK. This is what is really important. Car you can buy or sell but health no. After all it doesn't look very bad. Just a bumper as I suppose.

The pain..it is always the pain when you see your car damaged...until Saturday it was the same for me..but now got the lights sorted..
I feel even more sorry for you, as your car is exactly the same colour as mine...
ALL the best..and glad that you are all right

She is fixed allready!! and more beautiful then before
And so quickly!!!! in a week time, thanks to "volvo insurance" ;)
But I did'nt expect the price of the damage was so high, about €1775,00
They discused or she was total loss or not, Thank god she was'nt :D.
So it was not just the bumpers but olso the crash zone (not much)

If you see what volvo dares to ask for a used 480 the can't write it off for less than 3000 i'd say.

Ha! Volvo tried to write my 94T off because it needed new brake disks, pads, front suspension bushes and brake pipes. They only mentioned this to the previous owner after performing a £350 service. Considering it had a full history (and indeed was bought) from that garage, the owner felt a little ripped off to say the least.

£800 was the quote for the work.

Yeah but 480s are cheap in the uk compared to holland. There's an '95S for sale at a Volvo dealer for 10900 euros and a GT for 8000. Cheapest one in holland at a dealer is a '92 for 4000 !

No way could they write off simone's 480 for 1775€

That's some bad news simone,

Fortunately u where allright and the car got fixed too. Where you serious about not driving it anymore?????? Maybe its a good thing to build in a ships fog horn linked up to one of those distance measuring thingies. Stand in a traffic jam and someone forgets to pay attention and gets to close................ well you can catch my drift here :)
