Where to get a cheap Pollen-Filter replacement

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Where to get a cheap Pollen-Filter replacement

Post by welsh-dragon » Wed Apr 20, 2005 1:05 pm

Hi all,
Loking for a replacement pollen filter. Mr Volvo UK quoting £21-80 +VAT. Anyone know of a cheaper source?
Thanks. :D

edit by coyote1980: Subject changed from UPPER CASE STRING... Please don't post in upper case as no one is blind around here, and please try to choose a better subject for threads. 'Pollen filter' is not enough info, in this case 'where to get a cheap pollen filter replacement' would have been a better title. Thank you.

Hi
There are cheaper ones.
They fit but heve mostly less filter square cm.

I know off Filterhandel in Germany and a make from Italy but I do not remember the correct name. It was something with Euerope in it.
The price I paid by filterhandel was a 20 Euro.
Good luck

Yep, sure is-already fitted in my Celebration under the bonnet.
Volvo part number for the filter is 3465418-6, but if its not fitted already, you will also need the filter housing (3465419-4) and water retainment cup (3468927-3).
Have now found a supplier who can pprovide filter at £15 including carriage.

Wow

And a fuel-powered heater gizmo to heat the car up extra quick

Oo - and some plastic bits to stop snow going in paces it shouldn't <useful, here in England... where it snowed once in 1932, but it might have been a viscious rumour>

Hmmm -cruise control <I *WANT*>

Lots of pretty extras to play with - if only I had won the lottery on saturday!
