Once a 480, always a 480!
Hello my 480-friends!
In 2004 I sold my old 1987 480 ES and got myself a 1989 Saab 9000 Talladega. I was tired of my 480 that I had had for over 3 years and I wanted something more powerful! The 9000 was really fast and had everything one could ask for. However, a year later I was bored with it and got myself a 1995 Saab 900 Turbo Coupe. The story goes on and in 2007 I got myself a 2000 Saab 9-5 Aero SportCombi. Now, this car I still own and with its 287 bhp it accelerates like a f***ing rocket!
Anyway, yesterday I was checking the swedish e-bay and just for fun I entered "480" in the searchfield, and there it was! A lightblue metallic 1989 480 Turbo with 149000 km on the clock. It was located in Gothenburg wich is 280 km away from my hometown of Malmö in southern Sweden. I called the seller and told him that I was interested and that I could come and look at it the same day. Sure thing, me and my buddy took my Peugeot 206 CC and criused up to Gothenburg with the top down on this beautiful saturday. Three hours later we arrived and there she was, blue and beautiful. A quick testdrive and it was a fact, 10500 crowns (970€) changed hands and I was a 480-owner again!
After the three hour drive home (and the 480 was running smooth all the way offcorse) I parked the car at my job were it's going to be completely restored.
Pictures will be posted continuously as the restauration begins tomorrow!!!
The car will be resprayed in Triumph Motorcycles Roulette Green. Lowering springs will be fitted and the windows will be tinted. Today I bought four Pictor wheels wich will be painted black with a green stripe around the edge.
Stay tuned!!!

Well well, as I'm to lazy after one and a half week I think I'll just post an URL with some pictures. Still have to take some pictures of the car finished with all the bits on again.
