Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

They want a (presumably) Dutch postcode though. Good thing I've still got one of those :P

There are a number of mechanical devices which increase sexual arousal, particularly in women. Chief among these is the Volvo 480 ;)

The 480 wasnt even in the running back then...

More like the XR3i or Capri 2.8i

The 480 was much more exclusive and distinctive. They cost a fortune back then, took ages to be able to afford one!!LOL!

I just cant vote for the 480,it'd be lying!

True, but then, it's all in hindsight isn't it. I mean, I betcha 90% of the people who voted for the Beetle as the car of the 70s have never been anywhere near a real one, let alone sat inside one on the move or it would have never made it to the top spot :P

In the end: the Peugeot 205 won the eighties contest. A real shame, isn't it. Probably only won because more were sold...

480 is a fun car to drive, cos yep, you turn head most by the "what the hell is that" way.
