Kill This Man! Breaking a '94 Paris Turbo!

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Emissions...hmm, not sure about that side of it, but i'm sure you could buy the other parts off eBay and do it yourself for £60! Someone save it!

If i had the money...

Edit: Didn't see the bit about the damaged sill....

Up your's ya bastard-i don't need you starting on me too! ;)

£225 seems a bit of a steal, but upon talking to the owner he seems to think the past of the car leaves a lot to be desired. He already thinks it would make a better donor car than repair. Me and Dad were gonna joint purchase, repair and either keep it as a daily runner to stop him putting the miles on his (man, he only does 3k a year!), or sell on. I may be looking at a new job soon, so i might be looking for a runner...something non-whiote so mine won't look fecking dirty all the bloody time  That would have been an interesting project!

Proper shell...pah, what do you lot know. I might buy the bloody thing and put it all in a proper Renault shell, like an R5 or something.....

Jus kidding Steve, you know i love you really ;) (where's the kiss emoticon?)

I'm glad to hear it mate, its just sometimes i feel for some of the guys on here that get niggley problems which cut into the enjoyment of owning a car you love to drive, cos make no mistake, just cos i drive a 5 doesn't mean i dont like the 480, great to look at, my mate has one and i love driving it.

I even bought one a while ago for a winter car, but was an ebay special, the guy delivers it, you find its fooked, already paid the princly some of £150! (so what did i expect really) with paypal, so broke it as spares, the point is, i honestly do like them and would drive one as a daily runner.

But you'll be still driving a 13 in a dozen car...
I drive (insummer) a renault 5 'monaco', only produced for 2 years, (so way fewer of them then 480's) full leather as standard, power steering remote locking,so they are RARE, 1 previous owner 80k, and still do sumat like £800 on fleabay, not bad for a standard G reg, non turbo renault 5, so not many people buy them for a conversion

Standard on the outside apart from 15's and lowered on adjustable koni's and drilled and groved discs, full stainless exhaust, turbo technics turbo, induction kit bla bla bla, wastes scoobys, type R's.....loads stuff doesn't stand a chance, and looks like this under the bonnet.........

Surley not such a ''13 in a dozen'' car now?

That's for sure. Sounds like a really cool car...

My 480 is going to look something like this under the bonnet, but with these parts:
