Pictures: swedish reubilt 480

Here you can talk about the joy owning a Volvo 480 brings. Non-technical discussions take place here, like what is the difference between an ES and a S version.

Hello! I know you saw some pictures some months ago on a 480 with lambodoors.. Well, heres the result! I just helped him with taking some photos, and my car is there just to show the difference he's made.

Not very much made to the engine, he has installed a bleedvalve push up the boost a little bit. Mine is still faster, but I don't know for how long.

I suppose i can't really praise it due to the whole Punto bashing think last week...

It's a 50/50 car for me-love the Lambo doors, love the paintwork (is that a pearlescent re-spray or just a really shiny black?). Can see that he's obviously put alot of time and effort into it-brave man for attempting something so different on a 480!

Not my cup-of-tea but an excellent job none the less...done properly, not just bodged! Any further pictures of the Lambo doors??

Well done that man!

WOW.................

Image

Just pick jaw off floor.

Those are amazing photo's of a 480 someone has put some serious time and effort into, amazing. Agree with some of the comments about not everyones cuppa, but 10/10 for the result whatever.
Not a big fan of Halfrauds filler caps and big mesh grills, but who cares!

Stu.

No pearlescent, just fresh paint. :) This is just at temporary paintjob, there will come a custom paintjob later.

I'm having a bit of bother with the lack of popups, it just seems that one of the most defining features of the car has gone

I do like it though, it looks like its had alot of thought, time and effort put into it and ended up looking bloody nice, when it could have ended up being another chavved up hatch - which thankfully it hasn't

Not so sure about the red glovebox though...

Looks like a proper job. As said before not every aspect is loveable but, can't say it's hidious.
But as no-one dares to say what they don't like about the car, I'll start.

! just a matter of taste :dispute: , love the whole overall look  !

- Aaargh! Calibra lights
- Mirrors are too small for the car.
- That steering wheel (or what's left of it)
- That gearknob (matches the steeringwheel though)
- Rearwheels are too far in. (need a little bit less offset)
- Don't have to bring up the pop ups now do I? (really a shame  )

Love the lsd's. Those doors just fit the car perfectly.
Love the dash! Alcantara or Suede?
Proper fillerflap conversion
Nice clean look.
