J564 HGX ? Can anyone give me any history on my new 480 es

Hi Guys, a shot in the dark i suppose but just wondered if anyone could shed any history on my new arrival, were you a previous owner ?, do you know who was ? and so on. I bought her with no service history and would love to know a little of her past,

Hi Murf, Yes Adam sold it about 6 monts ago, the chap he sold it to used it up to the MOT renewal then i bought it blindly. Fortunatly 4 brake pads and 1 front ball joint later it has a full 12 month ticket.

You can phone Volvo and ask them if the vehicle has any volvo service history ... if it does ... then they can post it out to you.

Hi,
I think I'm right in saying that if you call into your local dealership, they should be able to access any service history done by Volvo for you.
Having said that, some dealers are more helpful than others.

Thanks John. It is actually slightly later than I thought. My guess was mid 1990. Yes, it was imported into Australia early last year. The guy kept it in England to use when he visited there 2 or 3 times a year and decided to bring it out to sell because our government changed the import rules to make it difficult to import cars younger than 1989 from 2006 on. They announced it in January 2005 so people could still import cars if they had already planned to. He advertised it on ebay and I won it while I was living in Italy. I had an advantage over other Australians because I drove one for 18 months and 37,500 km in Italy and loved it. As far as I know it is the only turbo in Australia. I still can't believe my luck in coming across it and winning it. Does the two previous owners include the guy I bought it from or people before him? He was the one who bought it in 2003.
