Seatbelt extender or longer seatbelts?

In the quest to actually fit my kids in the car I've been looking into different ways to fit their carseats in, the two options there seems to be are seatbelt extenders or fitting longer seatbelt so I wondered if anyone's done this and if so where they got them from?

front seat or rear?
the front certainly had the USA spec which was longer, maybe fitted as standard after 199x?

It's the rear that's causing me a problem, kids are two young to sit in the front

for 'booster-seats' cos James found an option for 'baby' seats, as previously linked, maybe the same folk will have 'kids seat'
