headlight removal
I've got a replacement headlight for my broken one (crack in lens). What's the best way to remove and replace the headlight unit?
Thanks
Jim

Re: headlight removal
Sure Glasgow Jim has done a 'how to'
raise lights THEN open the bonnet.
remove the plastic trim from sides of the head light cowls when in raised position, remove offending screws and swap, one of the easiest jobs on a 480!
for alignment it should be pretty close as long as you don't disturb the adjusting screws

Re: headlight removal
Good tutorial, by the way, with my little experience, I would remove the headlight instead of the top cover as I found difficult to fix it in the right position. It takes a while.
On the other hand, the headligh is fixed with 4 screws and it fits perfectly without mistake.

Re: headlight removal
Baxter the trick to getting a realignment of the cover is to mark the position of the edge with a permanenet marker or pencil then it is an easy reposition.
Re: headlight removal
Be careful, the plastic headlight adjusters are brittle.
