Rear axle klonk noise

Yes, that would explain.

How do I check? get under the car, try to move the bar and see if there is any play?

Do I need to change the whole bar, or are there bushings I can replace? Is it a big job?

hi Alain

visual checks yes....to see if the bushes are damaged, or even if you have a bent panhard rod, or even just loose etc.
theres also the anti-roll bar drop links on the rears which could have gone...also rear springs could be a fault....but my initial guess is panhard rod.

i wouldnt go to the hassle of replacing bushes as the complete parts arent prohibitively expensive, compared to the amount of work required pressing in new bushes.
