They're better than no speaker in the back! They fill in the space, sound wise. Maybe just fade the sound 20% to the front as you mightn't hear that you are over driving them with a modern stereo.

Monroe is OEM, try their website... or your Volvo dealer.
Or, KYB gas-a-just is what I have fitted to the rear recently. They will be a comparable equivalent for the front and an upgrade from mono-tube to twin-tube on the rear.
Car feels good now, but I haven't done many miles yet and it still looks like it's on stilts until it settles down!
This is all standard height stuff I am talking about-- I don't know about the lowered stuff .
I got mine from. eBay and Amazon... how times have changed!

Im interested in the 'stilts' thing, I put kybs shocks on about 2 years ago and Im sure the front looks higher than it did, I think my chances of self correction are diminishing!
