I posted this on the FB page but thought I'd write here in case anyone isn't on FB.
My 1992 Turbo failed its mot due to the brakes. They work fine initially but the front n/s loses braking force and the pedal sinks to the floor.
I have the Mk2 abs with the big accumulator on top, unfortunately! Has anyone tried to repair/rebuild one?
The garage have said the problem looks like a master cylinder seal that's bypassing but this setup has no m/c so I'm presuming it's failed internally.
There's no fluid leaks anyway and no bulging rubber hoses.
Thanks in advance

Re: Teves Ate abs
We’ve helped Edie with this recently as she needed an accumulator and a pressure switch to bring hers back to life. Both were still available.

If you need the Volvo Green book to diagnose yours properly, give me a shout on a PM with your email. It tells you how to get fault codes out of it by counting the flashes of the ABS light amongst other troubleshooting.

Re: Teves Ate abs
Thanks chaps. There's no dash lights so presume no fault code to be read. Mechanic thinks it's the seals bypassing in what would effectively be the "master cylinder" that's built into the unit.
Presumably that's the bit that the pushrod goes Into, rather than the accumulator section.
