Filling gear box oil? Need a bit of help

Hey guys, so I'm not the most knowledgeable about car maintenance and my Haynes manual is invariably not the easiest to understand.

I need to top up the gear oil, I've bought the millers oil but my question is can I do this from the top? Or do I need to take off the splash tray and jack the car up level?
If it requires jacking up then is it possible with just two jack stands? :/ and can you pour the oil in from underneath or am I gonna need to fork out even more money for a pump?

Any help much appreciated

Here you go... although the pictures didn't seem to work when I did it, the information is still there.

Thanks James, I had seen that but I was wondering if it's possible to access the fill whole from the top without needing to jack up the car?

If you don't know if the oil has been changed its probably best to do a drain and refill anyway you can access the fill hole from àbove much easier from below though can I ask why you need to top it up as the box holds from memory 4.6l could be wrong on that number

I would do the same, drain all.

And then fill it from the top, with help of a longer tube that fits into the hole in the gearbox and on the other end out from the engine bay.

When it's time to improvise I do just that :)
