Well StrangeGame.
I'm not in the habit of resetting my 'average speed' indication. It's always somewhere in the 32 mph region. So I guess that 25 mph wouldn't be out of the ordinary if you're always driving in heavy traffic

I'm with levensevel - it doesnt take much to reduce your average speed right down. But you can test this yourself: turn the dial to average, and hold down the reset button until the display turns to dashes - then go on a 10 mile journey or whatever, preferably on a fast road so most of the speed IS above 40 MPH, then check the average speed. If it's still 25, then you probably have an ECU fault of some kind, since the average speed isn't read from a sensor, but calculated from other readings - do the other sections of the infocentre seem ok with their readings?

Have not resetted the infocentre for thousends of kilometres...
avg speed is always around 54 km/h
avg fuel consumption is always around 10 liters/100km
I drive most on secundairy roads (max 80km/h) and within the city (max 50km/h). My experience is that even long trips on the higway (max 120 km/h..ore more when I am in the racing mood ) do not affect the average.
