Hey all I'm looking for some advice, I've come into a spot of trouble.
Basically I went to change a fuse for the cigar lighter and lights and when I went to put in the new one In I saw a spark and now suddenly the digital dash (information center) doesn't work. It was the same fuse I just have no idea what's happened. Any advice would be really appreciated

I would imagine that as you inserted the new fuse you hesitated slightly but close enough for the current to jump - hence the spark. We all do it, don't get me wrong, but it just confirms why strictly you should disconnect the battery before playing with anything electrical, even fuses!
What year is your 480? I ask because the fuses boxes differ pre- and post- 1991. However, going from memory at this stage the circuits for the cigar lighter, interior lighting, Info Centre and one or two other things are all strangely interconnected, meaning they can be affected by 3 or 4 different fuses.
My suggested first step is to go carefully through the fuses and see if another one has blown - if you have a post-1991 check in particular fuses 21 & 22, and check you haven't dislodged (or even managed to blow) the orange bridge at position 23.
Do you have the handbook for the car? If so just be aware that the fuse listings in there can differ from those shown on the fusebox lid...
If after this you still have no joy, come back to us!
Good luck
David

Re: 480 dash
The info centre shares a fuse with the cigar lighter so that explains why it remains dark.
There must be a short somewhere, have you checked if something metal has fallen into the lighter plug?
