for the top photo, pull the pin/slide down,
in second photo pull towards left,
are these for the door wiring?

These are behind the glove box. I want to check connections for corrosion as the car turns over but won't start and there are some other odd electrical affects.
These photos are actually front and rear views of the same block connector. How far out should I pull the pin? It comes out so far and then I can feel some resistance.

With this type of connector you pull the side with the 2 lugs outwards and the connectors relase
the lugs are the bits sticking out on the top picture bottom side.
All those connectors work the same way with different colours for each set of wires.
