Clock lighting
Should the bulb that illuminates the clock have a connection to it, or does it get it's power from the cable to the clock - I couldn't see any obvious sign of it getting power from this, but am prepared to be proven wrong.

Thanks. Now all I need to do is find a supply of the right bulbs. Euro Car Parts managed to send the wrong ones through... oh well.welsh-dragon wrote:You're quite right-the power is off the cable going to the clock-just untwist, take out and replace with new bulb in holder. Job done!

You can also replace them by ultrabright leds.
I will probably be doing this soon. This way you can also change te colour of the illumination to blue, red etc. Nasty thing is the fact that the gauges are allready a little green, so you'll allways end up with a mixture of green and an other colour.
Anyway, let you guys know what it looks like.

Just picked up a load of 286T's from ebay, so will probably replace this weekend, along with a blown bulb in the dash I couldn't do on Saturday due to not having the right bulb. Should there be any illumination for the aircon/central console?Williewammes wrote:You can also replace them by ultrabright leds.
