Superbig problem with electrical sys

Post by madtuning » Mon Jul 16, 2007 6:37 am

Hi all!
Yesterday i had a big prob with my 480T.
Brake lights, IC, tacho, speedo, pop-ups, el.clock, windscreen wipers, power windows,A/F ratiometer.
All gone! They don´t work at all!
Only alternator failing light is working
All fuses are OK!!!
All relays are OK!!!
What is the big black box at leht side in the car near the fusebox?HELLA

Any ideas?

Does anyone have a list of fusebox numbers?
I cant find it!

black L shaped box? It's the 80amp mega fuse.

if this is blown then alternator will not charge!!

try briding the fuse by bolting it up without the fuse.

alternator will charge, cos the rearlights and parking lights are ok, engine working well, fuel pump is OK!...or if the battery light is burning...?

The L shaped box is the Hella box near the fusebox?
Or the oval box under the hood?

IF the mega fuse had gone then it would not charge.

The L box on post 91 480's (i think) will be near the alternator and strapped to the front bulk wall very near the intercooler/rad

I think the megafuse was a recall item, so quite possible you could have escaped it.

Its often hidden under the metal piece with the bonnet catch attached to it at the front of the engine bay, to the right of the bonnet catch.
