Hey all.
When I select the A/C button the ventilation fan starts but not the actual compressor, all fuses etc look okay, so any ideas?
All the best

Ok peope....
This happens many times..so there is an electric part which does not enable the airco compressor to start if there is not a freon in the pipes so under pressure...refill the closed system with freon - no more than 300 mg- and then try to start it.....
Put something in the throttle cable so as to have a slight increase in rvms (1500 is fine), close the windows and put an electrical thermometer in the air outs on the tablaw.....set the airco to the max..in a time of 15 minutes the thermo has to show a temp of 6 degrees celcius.
in case the air co is still no working, then check the pipe which is under the battery...in the pipe there is a valve which is the one to check the temp of the freon...in other words when the temp gest low automatically stops the airco compressor not to be freezed...This valva due to years of working needs replacement and actually this is the most common case in airco problem specially when the climate is too hot like here..I have replaced mine twice..so have a look there....
All the above are common ones, of course take the consideration that the same compresser might need replacement and thats an expensive pat to buy if u still have th old freon R34 type...
hope this helps a lot
luck!!
