Re: Terraclean
Hi Tim got no info back on teraclean also unable to loosen fuel pipes to allow it to be done,so have taken off idle valve and cleaned it out now much improved but not completely gone
Re: Terraclean
I replaced my idle valve last year and things improved but with the cold weather I'm getting a few of the same symptoms of kangarooing engine back. Is it just a case of whipping the pipes off and then flinging it in some hot soapy water?
Best

Re: Terraclean
I had it done a few years ago and was expecting miracles too, like fixed erratic idle. The car certainly ran a bit better but still had a hunting idle. I've replaced the ICV and it hasn't improved either.
The standard kit doesn't seem to have adaptors to connect to our engines. The Terraclean man thought it would be a good idea to connect at the fuel pump end but this was disastrous as the unions, which are built into the plastic of the pump housing, came away from the pump. This left me without a car for a few months as the pump cooked itself (starvation) and leaked everywhere before dying. New pumps can be very expensive, dependent upon your engine, I found."
So if I were you, I would leave the connections at the pump well alone and make sure they can connect at the engine end like they are supposed to.
I'm for Terraclean, and am considering it again for the diesel XM, but don't expect miracles!
