I have herd advice that theres some pre-wired and some you have to wire yourself (whatever this means) and that its a false economy to get the one you wire yourself because its abit tricky?

yes i think its the plug on the end thats missing where it plugs into the car.
bosch one would probably be a better make i think. some types can be a bit cheap.
i dont know weather all 480 are the same but the two ive owned use 3 wire type with the heating element. 2 heater wires 1 signal. maybe worth checking if your heater fuse has gone.

Okay, I checked all the fuses recently for something else, but I'll take another look.
