Turbo - Problem with acceleration

Post by bigdickbuster » Thu May 06, 2010 12:55 am

Hello!

I have problem with Turbo. Car was in workshop - guy changed starter. Now car have problem with acceleration. Turbo works well, but exhaust fumes makes horrible noise.

When i push the gas pedal, turbine gaining rotation very quickly, make noise from exhaust, but engine revs does not grow (grow a little bit). It excludes slipping clutch.

Intake system is tight. I disconnected wastegate. This given no result. Pipes from actuator to turbine are OK. One time during driving car was accelerated very well.

When engine run on the gasoline acceleration is more than poor. A little bit better results give using LPG, but its far from ideal...

Help!

Check all pipes, sounds like a block to me, very unlikely in the event that you have only had the starter done though :(

I'm starting to have problems with accelerating and rough idling. I wonder if it's that. How did you find out that your problem was the lamda sensor?

My friend which is a mechanic has done this job. But if you check CO and other values in exhaust fumes (with using analyzer) you will see, that the values are correct or not.

Check also MAF sensor or MAP, i don't know which engine you have. If you have Turbo, you have MAF :D

It is possible to measure values of lambda sensor with using of oscilloscope and voltmeter, but i don't remember now what values are correct :?
