Pollen filter cover?

Post by 480-Pelle » Sat Oct 14, 2006 1:56 pm

Hi guys.

Just installed the pollen/dust filter on The Black Pearl...isn't there supposed to be anything covering the filter?
I have just the housing and the actual filter itself...

The instructions says that I should use the original cover but I don't have one? :help:

I think I answered my own question...one instruction says cover, one says not. I'll go with not. :D
Just have to get the anti-water plastic thing now...

Hi Pelle!

Good to see you're still driving around in the 480 :D

The pollen-filter for the 480 requires three parts:

- the filter-housing
- the filter itself
- small transparant plastic part for under the bonnet to prevent water from dripping on the filter

You really don't want the filter to get wet, it will start to smell bad ;)

Hi Daniël. :D

Of course I'm driving 480, is there any other cars?

Haven't been driving since last summer though, due to a little trip the car decided to do itself down my parents front yard...handbrake failed to keep the car still and gear wasn't engaged.
But next summer it will be on the road again, looking better than new.

It's sits right here in my garage at the moment, completely repainted and with minor body modifications. I'm in the middle of putting it together right now, have the rear bumper and some interior left to do.

I have bought a LOT of new parts, and this pollen filter is one of them. :)

Maybe I'll post some sneak pics soon, we'll see...
